Tales of Mystery and Imagination. El concepto del álbum gira en torno a la obra de Edgar Allan Poe a través de siete cortes.
La idea original de Alan Parsons era hacer un álbum en el que él y Eric Woolfson aportarían la parte instrumental, mientras que una serie de conocidos cantantes invitados aportaban la parte vocal. La presentación inaugural de este trabajo en 1976 causó sensación, al ser presentado en el Planetario del Observatorio del Parque Griffith, en Inglaterra, acompañado de un show de iluminación láser.
Los vocalistas invitados para este LP fueron Arthur Brown, John Miles y Terry Sylvester.

Alan Parsons actuará en la Isla el próximo 22 de abril

Ya están a la venta las entradas para el concierto que Alan Parsons, maestro del rock sinfónico, ofrecerá el 22 de abril en las Pirámides de Arona, en el Sur de Tenerife. Las entradas se pueden adquirir, desde 45 euros más gastos de gestión, en la plataforma ticketbell.com. El mítico compositor y productor es el segundo nombre confirmado por Legends Live, un nuevo proyecto que en los próximos meses traerá a la Isla una serie de siete conciertos exclusivos protagonizados por legendarios del pop-rock de los años 70, 80 y 90. Abrirán el programa los ingleses UB40, el 18 de marzo también en las Pirámides de Arona.

Será la tercera visita de Alan Parsons, de 66 años, a Tenerife. En mayo de 2004 actuó en Santa Cruz, llenando por completo el Auditorio. Dos años después vino a Puerto de la Cruz y actuó en la plaza de Europa. Como entonces, esta vez también le acompañará su solvente banda, formada por siete músicos. Interpretará temas de su último álbum y hará un repaso exhaustivo por todos sus grandes éxitos, como Don’t answer me, Eye In The Sky o Time. Con P. J. Olsson interpretando las partes vocales de los temas, la calidad del concierto está más que garantizada.

World Liberty Concert

The World Liberty Concert was a concert that took place on 8 May, 1995 next to the John Frost Bridge in Arnhem in the Netherlands. The concert was held in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the liberation of Europe and is the largest memorial concert ever held in the Netherlands and was thought of by Arno Geul. Preparations lasted for about a year. Performances were provided by:

- Alan Parsons, 
- Art Garfunkel, 
- Joe Cocker, 
- Cyndi Lauper, 
- Wet Wet Wet, 
- Candy Dulfer, 
- UB40 
- René Froger. 

Also present was the Metropole Orkest consisting of 80 men and the Gelders Opera and Operetta Gezelschap choir. The event-specific configuration of The Alan Parsons Project went under the name of Alan Parsons Band. The musical performances were accompanied by historical readings by Walter Cronkite and an illustrative performance by the Royal Netherlands Army. The broadcast portion of the concert lasted about 2 hours, was attended by 85,000 people and was broadcast in 45 countries, of which 31 were live. The entire concert lasted over 12 hours... and can be seen now in 2 hours...

Eric Woolfson "Set Free"

En este tema se mezcla la cancion 'Inmortal' con otra canción llamada 'Chorus of Hope', que se incluye en su musical DANCING SHADOWS. Esta grabación se realizó alrededor del año 2000. Incluye un grupo Africano de Gospel y un coro de 80 voces cuyos registros se grabaron en los estudios Abbey Road. El resto de la canción se grabo en el estudio de Eric Woolfson en Kent, por el ingeniero de sonido Haydn Bendall.

Eric Woolfson Poe Live

La otra parte de Alan Parsons Project el señor Eric Woolfson (fallecido tristemente en el 2009) decidió continuar en solitario la saga de Tales of Mystery and Imagination de Edgar Alan Poe, con el álbum  Poe: More Tales of Mystery and Imagination del 2003. La versión teatral de Poe se estrenó en los Abbey Road Studios en noviembre de 2003. Woolfson rescata una veta teatral en sus obras, camufladas siempre en el sonido de rock estético gracias a la obra de Alan Parsons, quien sin este último, ve liberada su idea y asume su rol de creador de obras y puestas en escena teatrales, como es el caso de su obra Poe protagonizada por Steve Balsamo protagonista de Jesucristo Superstar. Aquí os dejamos este gran disco como no en directo. Wings Of Eagles me sigue poniendo los pelos de punta (los pocos que me quedan claro).

Chris Rainbow (Especial II)

Después del ambicioso ciclo de canciones de “Nude”, Camel intento su versión de un álbum de Alan Parsons Project con “The Single Factor”. Considerando que Alan Parsons había tenido hits ese año con canciones como “Eye in the Sky”, no sorprende que Camel tratara de capturar la misma audiencia. Andy Ward (bateria) deja el grupo, en un principio se decía que era por una lesión en una de sus manos, lo que luego se desmintió cuando Andy Latimer dijo que Andy Ward se había ido debido a sus problemas con el alcohol. Para el disco Andy Latimer ficha a dos de los colaboradores mas importantes en la carrera discográfica de APP,David Paton: bajo, voces Y Chris Rainbow: voces, y para la gira prescinde del bateria sustituto de Andy Ward (Graham Jarvis)y contrata a otro ex de APP como es el bateria Stuart Tosh. El resultado es una gira de Camel con sonido Alan Parsons Project.
